SENCO, a leader in fastening solutions, celebrates 75 years since its incorporation, marking a milestone that reflects decades of commitment to making hard work easier for professional contractors.

Since 1951, SENCO has earned the confidence of builders, remodelers, manufacturers, and tradespeople by delivering fastening solutions designed to improve productivity, performance, and jobsite reliability. What began 75 years ago as a small company with a vision for better fastening solutions has grown into a globally recognized brand whose products are used on job sites every day.

“We created the world’s first pneumatic tackers. And in doing so, we didn’t just launch a product; we launched an industry,” says Cliff Mentrup, CEO of SENCO. “We set a new standard for what speed and ease on the assembly line could look like. The fastener and pneumatic tool business as the world knows it today was founded by SENCO.”

Before SENCO’s incorporation in the 1950’s, company founder Albert Juilfs produced the Springtramp Eliminator, a mechanical device that eliminated a common vibration problem with automobiles of the time. Years later, SENCO opened its first manufacturing facility in Cincinnati, Ohio, where it produced two groundbreaking fastener products—paper-taped framing nails and coil nails.
