Construction faces continued pressures to improve outcomes and reduce risk on site. Safety and technology leaders are seeking smarter, more connected systems that deliver timely insights and support confident, data-driven decisions at every stage of a project.
In this context, artificial intelligence (AI) is a critical enabler.
HammerTech Intelligence is a powerful and evolving suite of AI-powered capabilities designed to automate routine safety tasks and provide real-time visibility where it matters most.
This latest upgrade marks the next evolution of the platform—backed by one of the construction industry’s broadest site safety datasets, captured across more than 20,000 projects and over five million worker orientations worldwide.

CUT OUT THE BUSYWORK
The first release of HammerTech Intelligence introduces practical, AI-powered features that save time, cut out busywork, and provide better insight into what’s really happening on site. They set the stage for a new generation of tools that deliver even deeper visibility and real-time support for safety-critical decisions.
Pre-Task Plan Meeting Capture: Foremen and safety leads can now record daily PTP meetings instead of filling out forms. The platform then transcribes the conversation, identifying ‘key tasks’, ‘hazards’, and ‘controls’ to ensure effortless, structured documentation.
Observation Photo Recognition: Simply snap and upload a photo to a safety observation. The platform analyzes this image and suggests ‘type’, ‘classification’, and ‘description’. This speeds up observation creation, improves accuracy and consistency, and makes it easier to act on quality data.
Auto-filled SDS forms: Subcontractors can upload a safety data sheet (SDS), and the platform automatically extracts relevant content and populates the required form fields. This eliminates repetitive data entry, reduces errors, and gives teams their time back to focus on the job at hand.
EMBEDDED BY DESIGN
These new tools were built to fit seamlessly into existing on-site workflows—not as standalone features but embedded into the HammerTech platform. That means no new apps, no added complexity, and no behavioral change required. Field teams benefit immediately, and safety operations become more efficient from day one.
The aim was to design capabilities that are practical, grounded in real jobsite conditions, and powerful enough to reduce admin time and improve visibility without disrupting the way teams already work.
SAFETY PROS WEIGH IN
One of our long-time customers, Gray Construction, sees the enormous potential of these new tools.
“HammerTech Intelligence is going to provide much-needed efficiency in our daily safety planning efforts, adding another valuable resource to our teams,” says Safety Manager Joshua Bullock, CHST. “HammerTech has been a trusted partner for years, and this platform enhancement is really exciting.”
Paul Duke CSP, CHST, senior safety manager at Georgia-headquartered Holder Construction, shares his enthusiasm: “By having HammerTech Intelligence embedded directly into the platform, we will enable our teams to stay focused on what matters most—engaging in high-risk work and field operations—without getting bogged down in compliance tasks.
“The ability to capture complete PTP conversations and turn them into structured, usable data with AI instantly is a game-changer. Now that’s built right into HammerTech. It’s a huge leap in how we manage safety.”
SCALING AI FOR SAFETY
The first suite of AI-powered capabilities intentionally focused on workflows where administrative overhead can create the most friction—like pre-task plans, observations, and SDS forms.
As HammerTech’s Chief Product Officer Andrew Barron puts it: “We knew from the start that AI would only be useful if it felt effortless to use. So, we built HammerTech Intelligence as part of the core platform—not as an add-on or a separate tool. That way, thousands of workers on site get the benefit immediately, without needing to change the way they already work. Over time, the opportunity is even bigger. When you pair smart models with structured, construction-specific data, you can start to surface patterns, flag blind spots early, and support better safety decisions across the whole project.”
