The first National Drone Safety Awareness Week was held November 4–10, 2019. The National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) encourages its members and all drone operators to pursue and understand safety measures for drone usage.
NATE hosted a webinar, “Drones, Data, and Artificial Intelligence”, in early November. Gary Gibson, chief technology officer at 5×5 Technologies, conducted the webinar. The webinar presented a high-level overview of artificial intelligence and how it can be used to improve the efficiency and safe operation of drones while providing actionable intelligence from the data acquired by drones, as well as insights on where the technology is going.
