NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association is a non-profit trade association dedicated to providing a unified voice for companies in the diverse tower and communications infrastructure construction, service, and maintenance industries. For more than 25 years, NATE has been the undisputed global leader in safety, quality, standards, and education for the tower and communications infrastructure industry.
NEXT LEVEL OF SAFETY
In 1995, NATE was established by a small group of tower service companies who were passionate about guiding the industry toward a higher level of safety, education, and protection. As a Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association, we are here for the companies, contractors, and people who are moving full speed towards tomorrow. Our members are dealing with 5G, DAS, and wireless applications that can be installed on rooftops, streetlights, at ground level, and underground.
Our membership has moved far beyond tower building and maintenance crews to include businesses and contractors involved in every facet of wireless communications—from installation to delivery to maintenance and development.
NATE membership continues to grow at an astonishing rate, with member companies located throughout the United States and Internationally. NATE has proven that a good idea, coupled with relentless effort, can take you a long way, but there is still much more for NATE to accomplish. From developing new methods to facilitate education and training, to creating an industrywide culture of safety, NATE members have proven that getting involved makes a difference.
Through NATE’s legislative and regulatory efforts, the Association continues to work diligently with officials from U.S. DOL – OSHA, U.S. SBA, FCC, U.S. DOT, FAA, NTIA, FirstNet, members of Congress, Congressional Committee staff, and other federal and state government entities in order to advance the interests of our member companies in the policy and regulatory arenas.
Additionally, NATE is a leading voice for workforce development in the industry. The Association’s leadership has committed to investing in workforce development initiatives in order to promote the professional career path opportunities available in our thriving industry.
2021 5G: SMALL CELL DEPLOYMENT TRAINING COURSES
For the sixth consecutive year, NATE has been selected by the U.S. Department of Labor – OSHA to receive a Susan Harwood Targeted Topic Training Grant for the 2020-2021 program year. The topic to be addressed is Fall Prevention in the Construction Industry, with an emphasis on small cell deployment safety practices that are necessary to understand in order to keep workers safe while building and maintaining next generation wireless sites.
As a result of receiving the Harwood grant, NATE plans to host twelve 5G-Small Cell Deployment Training Courses throughout the country in 2021. NATE projects that a minimum of 336 employers and employees will receive this complimentary 5G-Small Cell Deployment Training throughout the grant period. The timing is right to facilitate this training as NATE members are on the front lines of 5G deployment and related network densification activities in the United States.
If you own or manage a business within the wireless communications infrastructure industry, NATE is here for you as a resource and an advocate. We are proud to represent companies like yours, and we look forward to providing you with education, information, training, networking, and so much more.
