The proprietary TwinTier technology comprises 3 key mechanisms that make the TwinTier platform one of a kind. First, a Dual Wire Feeding mechanism, doubles the tying speed to increase jobsite productivity. Secondly, a Wire Bending mechanism produces a shorter tie height. This mechanism not only reduces wire consumption, but less concrete is now needed to fully cover each tie. Finally, a Wire Pull-Back mechanism conserves wire by dispensing just the right amount to form a wire tie relative to the size of rebar being tied.
MAX now manufactures two TwinTier tool models; the RB441T and the RB611T. The RB611T can tie rebar combinations between #5 x #5 up to #9 x #10 (Depending on the rebar manufacturer). The RB441T will tie between #3 x #3 up to #7 x #7.
Both tool models run on a 4.0Ah lithium-ion battery which can produce approximately 4,000 ties before needing to recharge. They also both use reels of TW1061T MAX 19 ga. tie wire; available in black steel, poly-coated steel, electro-galvanized steel, BUY AMERICAN steel and stainless-steel.
Today, MAX manufactures a full line of rebar guns that can tie between mesh up to #9 x #10 rebar.
