HIGH TECH BUILDINGS
The High Tech Buildings in Fort Myers kicked off in January 2016 with new client Schneider Construction and developer High Tech Properties. EHC is providing the clearing, earthwork, parking lots, concrete curbs, signage, and underground utilities for a complete site package.
I-75 IN CHARLOTTE AND SARASOTA COUNTIES
New client The Astaldi Group, one of Italy’s leading General Contractors, and among Europe’s top 25 firms in the construction industry, selected EHC for the nearly 16-mile I-75 project spanning Charlotte and Sarasota Counties, which began in January of 2016. EHC is providing excavation, embankment, finish grading, stabilized subgrade, and base, as well as temporary detours and access roads, and extensive berm and swale work on I-75 from south of Harborview Road to Sumter Boulevard in Charlotte and Sarasota Counties.
LINDSFORD PHASE 2A
EHC is continuing with Phase 2A for Lindsford in Fort Myers. The Ronto Group has engaged the site construction company for underground sewer, storm, water, curb, roads, common area sidewalk, sodding, rock crushing, traffic signage, and lot grading. The latest phase of Lindsford features more than 220 home sites and broke ground in February of 2016.
TUSCOLA
Tuscola is an approximately 10-acre project in North Port with Trinity Commercial Group. The new project consists of six buildings ranging in size from more than 4,000 square feet to more than 10,000 square feet. EHC is providing the infrastructure for the common areas, as well as each individual outparcel including clearing, more than 50,000 tons of import fill, roadways, parking lots, brick paver walkways, concrete sidewalks, curbing, traffic striping, signage, and underground utilities such as storm drainage, water, fire lines, and sewer. Phase I of Tuscola commenced in late February 2016.
TERMINAL ACCESS ROAD WIDENING
EHC is working with Wright Construction for the Lee County Port Authority to widen Terminal Access Road (TAR). According to the Lee County Port Authority, the project consists of widening the Terminal Access Road (TAR) to six lanes from Interstate 75 connector to Air Cargo Lane. It will include added curbing, signage and markings, lighting, landscaping, permitting, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approvals. EHC is providing earthwork, subgrade base, finish grading, and erosion control for the project which started in April 2016.
In addition to new projects in the first part of 2016, EHC completed the site construction services for the new Somero Enterprises, Inc. Global Headquarters and Training Facility with Chris-Tel Construction, as well as the Phase 2 development of Tuscany Pointe with America’s Builder DR Horton, Inc.
SOMERO HEADQUARTERS
Development began in October 2015 on the Somero headquarters, located in the Southwest International Commerce Park in Fort Myers. The headquarters was EHC’s first project with Chris-Tel, a general contracting company based in Southwest Florida. Chris-Tel is building the new facility and selected EHC for earthwork, grading, import fill, concrete paving, underground utilities, striping, and traffic signage.
Somero is a leading manufacturer of technologically advanced concrete placing equipment and associated machinery. The company’s new headquarters will feature executive offices and a training facility with an equipment warehouse, a classroom, and an outside break room. There will also be covered parking, employee areas, and a training ground. The building will be approximately 14,000 square feet and will include the Somero Concrete College that will allow customers to train on machines in concrete.
TUSCANY POINTE PHASE 2
Tuscany Pointe, located off Collier Boulevard just north of Vanderbilt Beach Road, marked EHC’s first project with DR Horton. EHC’s scope was earthwork, lake excavation, rock excavation and crushing of rock, import fill for grading, and sodding for more than 60 home sites. Plus, EHC provided roadway construction, which included subgrade, curb, asphalt, and pavement marking. The Phase 2 project kicked off in late summer 2015.
Tuscany Pointe is nestled in prestigious North Naples and features 116 spacious homes ranging in size from 1,983 square feet to 3,609 square feet. It is conveniently located close to upscale shopping and dining, pristine sandy beaches, and is part of a highly acclaimed school system.
Founded by native Southwest Floridians in March of 1990, EHC has grown from one project for one client to the completion of hundreds of projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars for a vast number of municipalities, developers, builders, owners, and general contractors. The company attributes its success to continually finding efficiencies, ability to make quick changes, adapting to change and above all—its people. ■
